Delegates should check the Visa requirements that apply to them. The following link to the UK Government Visa Website is a helpful source of information.

Whilst the Congress is being held in the summer it is not unusal for there to be some inclement weather so you are advised to bring suitable clothing to cover wet conditions and the occasional chilly evening

7: BIO Security

We will be visiting working farms and meeting those who are involved in agriculture from around the world and BIO Security is very important to us all. You are expected to take all necessary precautions

8: Travel

  • By Air: Edinburgh airport is well connected with International, European and domestic flights and has a modern tram system and dedicated bus service that links it with the City

There are 3 main options that are worth looking at for those using long haul flights to Edinburgh

  2. Flying to London (Heathrow or Gatwick) and catching an interconnecting flight to Edinburgh

  3. Flying to Manchester and catching the direct rail connection to Edinburgh from the airport station

  • Train

Edinburgh is very well serviced by the train with the main station 'Waverly' having direct rail conections with London and Manchester

  • Whilst at the Congress

Following registration all delegates who book the full package will be provided (As required) bus passes to cover Monday to Friday of their attendance at the Congress and which will allow free use of the city buses

9: Changes & Alterations
